Itinerary

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and receive a warm welcome from Likana Safaris  representatives who will assist with your transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala depending on your arrival time, where you can unwind after your journey. Dinner  at your own expense, will be at your leisure, allowing you to experience the local cuisines.

Embark on a scenic drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside and rural villages. Upon arrival,  Check into your accommodation and enjoy lunch before setting out on a guided rhino tracking expedition accompanied by experienced rangers. Get up close to these magnificent creatures and learn about conservation efforts to protect them from extinction. Dinner and overnight stay at the sanctuary.

Experience another thrilling rhino tracking adventure in the morning before departing for Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, check into your chosen accommodation inside the park and have lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park, where you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Start your day with an early morning boat safari on the Nile River, followed by a hike to the top of Murchison Falls for panoramic views. This boat cruise offers excellent opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species along the riverbanks. After the boat safari, embark on a hike to the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River plunges through a narrow gorge. Enjoy breathtaking views of the falls and surrounding landscape. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you’ll have another game drive to explore more of the park’s wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Journey to Kibale Forest National Park, known for its chimpanzees and other primates. The scenic drive takes you through lush countryside and traditional villages. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and enjoy lunch before opting for a nature walk or relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Embark on chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest, a highlight of your adventure. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest with experienced guides. Trek through the dense vegetation in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Along the way, you may encounter other primates such as red colobus monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Spend a magical hour observing the chimpanzees in their natural habitat before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll have the option to relax or participate in additional activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, depart Kibale Forest and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its diverse wildlife and stunning scenery. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat safari offers excellent opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park on a morning game drive, allowing you to witness the park’s wildlife during their most active hours. After breakfast back at the lodge, embark on a game drive through the Ishasha sector, known for its population of tree-climbing lions. Spend the morning exploring the area in search of these unique predators, as well as other wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, and antelopes. Enjoy a packed lunch in the park before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and journey to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest savanna park in Uganda. Upon arrival, check into your chosen accommodation and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park, where you’ll have the chance to spot zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park, offering opportunities to see wildlife during their most active time. After breakfast back at the lodge, embark on a boat safari on Lake Mburo, where you’ll have the chance to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can choose to go on another game drive or take part in optional activities such as horseback riding or a nature walk. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Lake Mburo National Park and embark on the journey back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll have the option to explore Entebbe at your leisure or visit local attractions such as the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Dinner will be at your own expense, allowing you to sample more of Uganda’s delicious cuisine.

Day 12 :
Departure

After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to Uganda and begin your journey home. Likana Safaris representatives will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Wilderness Expedition.
