10-Day Gorilla Kingdom Quest: Gorilla, Chimps, and Wildlife Adventure

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and receive a warm welcome from Likana Safaris representatives. Transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala, where you can unwind and prepare for the adventure ahead. Explore the local area or relax at your accommodation. Dinner will be at your own expense, allowing you to experience the local cuisine.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s most iconic safari destinations. Marvel at rural villages and breathtaking landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for a game drive to spot elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Start your day with an early morning boat safari on the Nile River, This boat cruise offers excellent opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. Hike to the top of Murchison Falls for panoramic views of the cascading waters. Enjoy another game drive in the afternoon before returning to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and  journey south to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its chimpanzee population. Admire scenic landscapes and rural life during the drive. Check into your lodge upon arrival and enjoy lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure or embark on a nature walk. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Embark on an exhilarating chimpanzee trek in Kibale Forest.  After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the forest. Follow experienced guides into the jungle, trekking through the dense vegetation in search of habituated chimpanzee families as well as encountering other primates along the way such as red colobus monkeys and grey-cheeked mangabeys. Spend a magical hour observing chimpanzees before returning to the lodge for lunch. Enjoy optional additional activities in the afternoon before dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and stunning scenery. Enjoy lunch upon arrival before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Spot hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife during the cruise. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Set out for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, allowing you to witness the park’s wildlife during their most active hours,   followed by a visit to the Ishasha sector to search for tree-climbing lions.  Spend the morning exploring the area in search of these unique predators, as well as other wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, and antelopes.    Enjoy a packed lunch in the park and continue the game drive in the afternoon. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to endangered mountain gorillas. The scenic drive takes you through picturesque landscapes and rural villages. Upon arrival, Check into your lodge upon arrival and enjoy lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure or explore the local area. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Forest. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before venturing into the forest with experienced guides,  Trek through dense vegetation in search of a habituated gorilla family, and  encounter these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. you’ll have the opportunity to spend a magical hour observing and photographing these magnificent creatures. After the trek, return to the lodge for rest and dinner.

After breakfast,  bid farewell to Uganda and begin your journey home. Likana Safaris representatives will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Gorilla Kingdom Quest.
