Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, a representative from Likana Safari Uganda will greet you and facilitate your transfer to your accommodation in Kigali. You’ll have the remainder of the day to relax after your journey, or you can explore some of Kigali’s attractions, such as the Genocide Memorial Center or local markets. Overnight stay in Kigali.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, located in the eastern part of Rwanda. En route, enjoy the beautiful landscapes and rural scenery. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, set out for a game drive in the park, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot various wildlife species including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge in Akagera.

Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness before continuing your wildlife expedition. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Nyungwe is home to over 300 bird species, including Albertine Rift endemics and colorful forest birds. Enjoy a packed lunch in the forest before continuing your birding adventure. In the afternoon, experience the thrill of walking above the forest canopy on the Nyungwe Canopy Walk, offering breathtaking views and excellent birdwatching opportunities.
