Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a representative from Likana Safari Uganda and transferred to your accommodation in Kigali. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore Kigali, visit local markets, or relax at your hotel. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Kigali, preparing for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, located in southwestern Rwanda. The journey offers picturesque views of Rwanda’s countryside and rolling hills. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge situated near the park. Enjoy lunch and some leisure time to unwind and immerse yourself in the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, you may choose to explore nearby trails or participate in optional activities. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Early in the morning, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking guidelines and safety precautions. With the guidance of experienced trackers, embark on an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking adventure in the dense tropical rainforest of Nyungwe. As you trek through the forest, listen for the distinctive calls of chimpanzees and observe their behaviors in their natural habitat.
