Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by a representative from Likana Safari Uganda and transferred to your accommodation in Kigali. After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, located in the eastern part of Rwanda. As you journey through the countryside, enjoy the picturesque landscapes and rural villages. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in Akagera National Park, exploring the diverse habitats and searching for wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. Rise early for a full day of wildlife exploration in Akagera National Park. Today marks the highlight of your expedition as you embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure in Volcanoes National Park. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before venturing into the forest with experienced guides. Trek through the lush vegetation in search of mountain gorillas, encountering other wildlife and bird species along the way. Spend a magical hour observing and photographing a gorilla family in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and transfer back to Kigali. Depending on your departure time, you may have the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kigali.
